Every organisation goes through some form of change at times, and for many, change has become a continuous fact of (corporate) life. Sadly however, change processes very rarely deliver anywhere near their full potential. It is our belief that this is rarely because the changes proposed are ill thought through, or because there wasn’t a good reason for the changes in the first place. Main reasons why we think change processes fail so often include: - A lack of up-front consultation with key parties involved in the changes
- Insufficient attention being paid to properly communicating the ‘why’ behind the change
- The process being too mechanical, underestimating the psychological effects it may have on people
- Insufficient support from (middle) management
- Some senior members of staff being unsupportive of the changes, and allowed to openly undermine the decisions made, slowing down and frustrating progress.
TtU wants to help companies overcome these issues.
